>I shot former President Clinton in Junction City this morning. I had a little time to crank off a few frames with a borrowed 45mm tilt/shift lens. I have to admit, I really dig the look and love shooting with it. I can’t seem to get one in the paper…but I’ll keep trying until that tilt/shift is pried from my cold dead fingers!

I shot this with my Hasselblad at the pool at the Courtyard in North Portland. I’m really excited because Pro Photo Supply can make 5×5 prints from the 120 film with the full frame black borders. I shot a photo of the print with my 5D and a 50mm lens so I could post it here. Once I’m settled I’ll just scan the print on a flat bed scanner or scan the film. I haven’t decided. Better yet, they are running a special that 120 processing and prints are only $5.

I was on my way back from Hood River and decided to take the scenic route. I thought I’d just explore and scout locations for the future. The wind was strong and cold and the light didn’t seem particularly interesting so I really had no intention of shooting. But when I got to Crown Point the sun was dropping below the clouds and things were starting to happen with the light. I couldn’t resist…I unloaded the tripod and cameras and went to work! I wasn’t the only one. Photographer Kevin Merchant of Newcastle, Washington (http://kevinmerchant.com/) was there shooting as well. As the sun dropped below the horizon the clouds parted and revealed the moon. Neither of us expected that.

I shot the overall Saturday during the opening ceremonies. The other two were at practice tonight. So far, Cole has been playing shortstop and left field. He’s less experienced than some of the other boys, but he’s doing really well hitting and fielding. His arm could use a little work, but that will come.

The locals are pretty excited about the prospect of luring tourists to view the massive rocket at the Evergreen Air and Space Museum.
