Patrick’s Neighbors are The Lord’s Own Choir
I shot this band in their living room when I was visiting Patrick Pendergast’s house the other night in Northeast Portland. They are Patrick’s neighbors and they call themselves The Lord’s Own Choir. They’re a great bunch a people and I had a great time listening to them perform.

Rose Bowl Sunset

I’m a bit late on this, but here’s a snap from the Rose Bowl. I was just going looking at the take again and realized this was probably the most memorable scene from the game for me…the sunset.

I shot this New Year’s Eve in Long Beach Calif. It was extremely packed with people and I didn’t have the best angle at all. I’m pretty disappointed in the photo, but I at least have evidence I as there. See story and video HERE on ESPN.

This small assignment signifies the last of the Christmas related stories I’ve been working on…and that’s a good thing. Happy Holidays! It’s almost over!

Editing Oregon Football

I’m in the process of going through about 20,000 images from 12 games and several other assignments from the 2009 Oregon football season. Every now and then I’ll find a photo I missed in the initial edit. I found this frame this morning from the Purdue game. I shot it with a 50mm wide open [...]

Oden Down, Roy Up

The Trail Blazers suffered a potentially devastating setback Saturday night against the Houston Rockets as one of the faces of the franchise suffered another serious injury.
Greg Oden, one of the few bright spots in what has been a discouraging start to the season, fractured the patella in his left knee and will likely miss the rest of the season.
VIDEO: Opera on Electric Guitar

A sonic wave of Rossini swirls down the halls of George Middle School in North Portland.
It’s parent-teacher night, and while adults chat quietly in classrooms about, perhaps, Johnny’s tendency to hide little green Army men around school or Emma’s love of vampires, it sounds as if Metallica and Motörhead are duking it out in the school’s auditorium.
